The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the global governing body for cricket. It was founded in 1909 as the Imperial Cricket Conference, and changed its name in 1965 to the International Cricket Conference. In 1989, it became the International Cricket Council. The ICC has ten full members and three associate members. Full membership entitles countries to participate in all forms of international cricket, including Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

Associate membership provides fewer benefits: countries can play only ODIs and T20Is, earn revenue from hosting matches but not from playing them, and have no voting rights at ICC meetings. The ICC is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), and its current president is Zaheer Abbas. The chairmen of its executive committee are Geoff Allardice (Australia), David Richards (England), Giles Clarke (England) Shashank Manohar(India).

Its former headquarters were located in London from 1909–15; then Lords from 1915–2006; before moving back to Dubai again in 2015 .’ll be discussing more about this later on so stay tuned!(Write something that will make me want to read the blog post)
