Jagmandir
Jagmandir is a magnificent palace built in the middle of Lake Pichola, just off the city of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. The construction for Jagmandir began in 1620 and was completed in the mid-17th century. An interesting fact about this royal resort is that it served as shelter to Prince Khurram – who later became Emperor Shah Jahan – during his rebellion against his father Emperor Jahangir. This palace had such a profound effect on Emperor Shah Jahan that it was rumoured to be a catalyst of inspiration for one of world’s most iconic Wonders – The Taj Mahal.

Jagdish Temple
Jagdish Temple is a beautiful example of Indo-Aryan architecture, located in Udaipur. Constructed in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh I and being dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it stands today as one of the most renowned temples in and around the area. The temple features intricately carved pillars and ceilings along with designs on its walls that are truly breathtaking. Nagda

It’s only 22 km from Udaipur and has traces of 6th century A.D., making it an ancient site located at the foothills of the Aravali range. Today, Nagda is renowned for its intricately carved Sahastrabahu temple, popularly known as Sas-Bahu temples. These temples date back to the 9th – 10th century A.D., with their interesting architecture and elaborate carvings visible in the magnificent toran or archway.

Sahastra Bahu Temple
The Sahastra Bahu Temple, located in Nagda village on NH-8 just 22 km away from Udaipur, is a beautiful 10th century temple complex dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Its name translates to ‘one with a million arms’, which is one of the forms of Vishnut. The temple is situated amidst lush green marshlands and plenty of date palms, giving it an oasis-like ambiance. It’s quite an impressive site featuring exquisite sculptures and carvings based on Ramayana for everyone to savor and admire.
