
The Science and Engineering Research Board of the Government of India has started the SERB Accelerate Vigyan Scheme 2023. Those who want to get the grant under high-end workshops, training, or internship programmes can fill out an application. SERB can help eligible professors or scientists who want to put on a workshop or offer a training and skills internship. More information about both programmes is given below. What is the SERB Accelerate Vigyan Scheme 2023?
Under the Accelerate Vigyan Scheme, the Science and Engineering Research Board has begun two new programmes. “Training and Skill Internship” and “High-End Workshop” are the names of the programme. Faculty or scientists who are interested in any of the programmes and want to get a grant can apply. Online is the way to fill out the application form. For both programmes, you can fill out an online application form twice a year. Right now, you can fill out an online application for the summer season. The application must be sent in by February 28, 2022. Get the detailed information quickly and send in the form.

The SERB Accelerate Vigyan Scheme’s Pros
- The workshop will go on for at least one week.
- The workshop can’t go on for more than two weeks.
- No more than 25 people will be chosen to attend a workshop.
- SERB: Can we set a limit on how many people can come to a workshop?
- After the workshop is over and done with, the host institute will give each participant a certificate.
- Students will get money for things they need every day, like room and board, books, food, and transportation.
- The amount of money each student will get for the whole workshop will be Rs. 20,000.
Features Of Scheme
- At least four weeks will pass before the end of the workshop.
- The workshop can’t go on for longer than Eight weeks
- When the internship is done well and the assignment report is turned in, the intern will get a certificate from the supervisor and head of the department in charge.
- The intern’s boss, to whom he or she is attached, will give the intern tasks or assignments.
- Interns must turn in a report at the end of their time.
- If an intern doesn’t work for the required amount of time, they won’t get a certificate.
- Interns will get money every day to pay for things like stationery, food, and housing.
- In this programme, the chosen interns will not get any money.
- Rs. 30,000 will be given as a stipend for the whole internship.
Criteria for eligibility
- Those who want to apply should be faculty or scientists.
- Applicant must be working in Central institutions of higher learning and research like IITs, IISc, IISERs, NITs, and other prestigious institutions and labs like CSIR, ICAR, ICMR, etc.
Documents Required
- Letter of support signed and dated by the right person at the host institute.
- Certificate from the person who put on the event
- A short summary of the workshop that includes the goals, a list of the technical sessions and the in-house and outside experts who may or may not be there, and other technical details.
SERB Accelerate Vigyan Scheme 2023 Application Process
- To sign up for the programme, applicants have to go to the Accelerate Vigyan website.
- You have to go to the programme option from the portal’s home page.
- Choose “Skill Development” from the drop-down menu, then “High-end Workshops or Training and Skill Internship” from the next menu.
- If you choose “Join now,” a new page will open on your screen.
- Applicants must sign up as event organisers by filling out the application with the information asked for.
- Fill out the form and click the “next” button.
- After registering, you have to choose the option for high-end workshops.
- If you are putting on an event, fill out the form to get the grant.
- Fill out the application form, upload the required documents, and click “Submit” to send in your proposal.
