Lake Fateh Sagar
Fateh Sagar Lake is an artificial lake which was constructed in 1678 A.D. by Maharana Fateh Singh and is located in Udaipur, north-west to it and north of Lake Pichola. This lake provides a picturesque view to visitors with three islands on its boundaries: Nehru Park, the biggest one spread over 4 sq km area; a public park with a beautiful water fountain situated in 15 acre land and thirdly, Udaipur Solar Observatory extended across 1.2 sq km grounds. All these natural attractions make Fateh Sagar Lake an interesting tourist destination of Udaipur.
Lake Pichola
Lake Pichola is a freshwater lake that was constructed in the 14th century A.D by Maharana Udai Singh of Mewar. Lake Palace

Referred to as Saheliya सहेलिया, they must have enjoyed the 4 km journey from the majestic Raj Mahal to the city’s defense wall of Nagarkot. In this tranquil setting they could swing, sing, dance and even take part in self-cooking activities during the monsoon season – something that surely captivated them 300 years ago! Located in the majestic city of Udaipur, Rajasthan, Fateh Sagar Lake is well-known for its historic link with Maharana Jai Singh and other successive rulers.
The ancestors of Maharana Jai Singh, who began construction of the Dewali-ka-Talab, passed on their legacy to him; under his rule (1680-1698 CE) the Jaisamand Lake was constructed between 1685-1691. Afterward, in April 1889 (खात मोरत), the foundation stone for the dam of fatehSagar was laid and it was completed and commissioned on June 27 1902 (डोरो फेरियो). During the reign of Maharana Fateh Singh (r: 1884-1930), who ruled after Maharana Jai Singh and before Maharana Bhagwat Singh, Saheliyon-ki-Badi obtained its grand layout that included an embankment around Fatehsagar’s lake as well as pools, fountains and gardens to be maintained by the Government of Rajasthan.
Consequently, through consistent up-gradation and preservation, this site continues to be a major attraction for locals and tourists alike. The Saheliyon-ki-Badi, a former garden estate of the Maharana in Udaipur City Palace, is a private property that comprises perhaps 100 bighas and contains fruit orchards, agri-fields and a dairy. The beauty and charm of the place are accentuated by intricately carved black chatrees (canopies) made from local favorite serpentinite stone and gray schist, as well as its unique fountain system featuring water spouting out of marble elephant trunks and bird beaks along with chajjas (projections).
In light of its significance in commemorating daughters’ love nearly 300 years ago, we call upon Smart City administration/Tourist Reception Center officials to recognize such devotion by prominently attributing the names सबॆकंवर Sabbai Kunwar, Roop Kunwar & Brij Kunwar throughout the garden. The palace-structure built by Maharana Sangram Singh lies at Nahar-Magra, about 20 kilometers east of Udaipur and north of the Udaipur airport. The structure features not only the palace itself, but also gardens, hunting lodges and riding grounds components as well.
Known for its beauty, this area was kept especially in mind for his sons Jagat Singh and Nath Singh. To pay homage to their family ancestry, he proposed a name for each garden area within the walled palace structure–namely, Sabbai-Vatika for the southern park, Roop-Vatika for the western park with its pond and elephant statues, and Brij-Vatika for the northern park. Lastly, at an inner pool area that houses a museum building along with fountains would be named Sangram Chawk in honour of Maharana Sangram Singh himself, who constructed it all in early last century.
The beauty of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India is often attributed to Lake Pichola and its surrounding areas. Created in the 14th century, the man-made lake was artificially expanded under the influence of Maharana Udai Singh who wanted to make his kingdom a beautiful one. Maharana Sangram Singh took this project even further when he built Bhavya, a 138 room palace-like structure adjacent to Pichola Lake for his second son Nath Singh. Monsoon Palace
The 19th-century palace located just outside of Udaipur is nestled on top of Bansdara hills. Ahar Museum is conveniently located near an array of cenotaphs belonging to the Maharanas of Mewar. Sukhadia Circle
Sukhadia Circle has been an integral part of the Udaipur city’s entertainment scene since it was opened to the public in 1970. Through this project, Kesha Singh & Sohan Singh Ji seek to honor Maharana Pratap’s legacy with a befitting tribute that stands etched in memories forever. Maharana Pratap was one of the most beloved figures in Indian history and his contribution to the nation has always been inspirational.
In order to put his vision into action, the Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap Samiti was formed in 2002 with a mission to develop various state-of-the-art facilities for the general public. Subsequently, in 2007, a piece of 25 bigha land was purchased and plans have already been drawn up to build several convenience structures such as an auditorium and medical facilities for the benefit of local villagers. Udai Sagar Lake

Navalakha Mahal
